This is an interesting topic because there seems to be different mindsets by local tv on when and how much streaming should take place. Some stations go full-bore, streaming every newscast. Others choose selected newscasts. Some don't stream entire newscasts at all. The jury is still out as to how this effects ratings. (IMHO, doesn't effect ratings one way or the other, perhaps bringing up another topic of how streaming should be measured).
Five years ago, there were just a few stations that streamed their local news. It certainly has increased, but certainly is not universal. My question is: do the stations who don't stream protect their product, or are they hopelessly hanging on to the past?
