Does anyone else think it's stupid that the TV stations send reporters out everyday to gas stations to report that the price of gas is going up? I think it's just as stupid as when they're standing outside in the middle of a blizzard telling you it's snowing and to stay off the roads. Most people know that the gas prices are going up (almost) everyday. Most people wouldn't go out in the middle of a blizzard.

It's been raining all day 4/16/11.Did anyone have a reporter out in the rain telling people they are going to get wet if they leave the house?

Good points! Also, why don't they send out a reporter when the sun is shining and it's 85 degrees and calm and remind people they can go to the beach?
 
And the people they have on predicting the direction of the gas prices are just as bad. They are almost always wrong, so why bother?

Believe it or not, they do! I was watching the 5pm news on WABC-7 a couple weeks ago on a really warm day and they had the weather person standing outside on the sidewalk talking about how nice it was outside.
 
How about the 11:00 pm live shot in front of a darkened courthouse or town hall? As if something is going on there at that hour?!? What a joke......

So many of these live shots are so dumb when you actually think about it.
