Local Noon Newscasts on Weekends - Do they still exist?

Yes some network stations may still have them at noon - most do not - Most network affiliates do their local news before 10 AM and are through with news by 10 and then run EI kids shows after 10. Then the sports from their network so news at noon might not be as feasible on Saturdays. Though I assume some might move EI shows up to 8 or 9 am and begin news like at 10 or 11 and still have news at noon.

Most "big 3" network stations have weekend morning newscasts (anywhere from 7 - 11 a.m.), as do a decent number of Fox stations (especially those that were previously affiliated with CBS back in the day).

A half hour noon newscast really isn't feasible, mostly due to network E/I programming and/or sports coverage.

small market stations don't have weekend morning news

I know in Philly WCAU about a decade ago had Saturday noon newscasts. And WPVI still has a noon hour on Sundays (basketball permitting).

WTOV (Steubenville, Ohio/Wheeling, WV) has news on Saturdays from 9-10 a.m. By the way, it has FOUR times the number of viewers as the other player in the market, and it bills itself as 'the number one NBC station in the nation." By moves like this, along with many others, they solidify their standing as the area's news leader. And no, I don't work for them.

WSB has had one since 1973 (they started a year after WXIA, which
abandoned theirs in '74 and went back to kids' programming); WSB's
sister stations WSOC Charlotte and WFTV Orlando do weekend noon
newscasts, as do WCPO Cincinnati, WLKY Louisville, and WBAL Baltimore
(and I think WFLA Tampa has one).

As long as I can remember, I never saw a weekend Noon newscast on any station in Chicagoland. I know that if anyone might do one, it might be WGN-TV, as they have to program all the timeslots outside of CW primetime (all 24 hours on weekends, unless they pre-empted a CW weeknight, then it airs on a weekend). Even they don't see the need for weekend noon news, when they can air either sportscasts that they have the rights to, or any other time, air movies or of-network syndicated shows cheaper than a noon newscast.

KABC was doing a Saturday noon newscast for a number of years this past decade; when the Litton Kids block started up, they moved that newscast to 9am, following an hour of news at 8am.
