Local Philly Boy Mark La Vin now on WNTP weeknoits at noin

They need The Great One on at 6pm right after Sean! At least XM and Sirius carry him live from 6-8.

Thank me very much!

The tale of two cities (radio version)

So ABC radio wasn't able to "convince" WPHT to take on La Vin's show and as they didn't have a second news/talk station to move both Hannity and La Vin to giving WPHT the upper hand. They (ABC) had to swallow some pride and go to the 2nd tier Salem Owned WNTP and settle for weekends to boot in order to have a presence in Philly for the so called "great one".

In Wilmington what happened, was (5Kw) WDEL had Hannity, ABC tried to "convince" them to take on LaVin (I agree with WDEL his show isn't worth the aggrevation), so WDEL said no ( assumptions on my part might be that WDEL didn't want to lose the Phillies and didn't like being forced to air a program they didn't want). ABC went to (1Kw) WILM, a Clear Channel station and today WILM now has both Hannity and Le Vin and they bumped a more entertaining Jim Bohanan to midnight (I'd have put La Vin at midnight). WDEL went to live and local talk daytime with Laura Ingram at night when there isn't a Phillies game to air. WILM and WDEL are neck to neck in competition in Wilmington meaning that it was a far more risky move WDEL made, whereas WPHT has far better ratings than WNTP giving WPHT more leverage in saying no to ABC and not losing Hannity.

I understand why ABC did what they did from a growing their business point of view, but frankly La Vin's show isn't that good in my opinion. ABC might find it difficult to ever get any programming in the future back on WDEL as WDEL probably didn't appreciate the shabby treatment they recieved from ABC.

Back to Philly, at WNTP which Salem talker got bumped for La Vin?

Yes, but keep in mind this fact: WPHT is the talk radio monopoly in Philadelphia! There is no other desirable talk station (sorry, 'NTP) on which ABC would want Hannity to be on.

His name is Mark Levin. I think the mispelling was making fun of the way yous guys talk around here. Actually it is a pretty good show and I'm tuning in on Sirius Patriot to listen to both Sean and Mark live. I don't want to hear the static from 1210.

Yo.. Just have a COKE and a HOAGIE and cross PASSYUNK while you're at it at noit.
And WNTP should buy back the WIBG call sign and go oldies.
Sam and I would be very happy to help.
RIGHT?

No one got bumped: programs were just shortened to two hours from three.

Levin: 9PM-11PM
Miller: 11PM-1AM
Savage: 1AM-3AM

It shows you how lame WNTP's programming people are. They've got the #3 talk host in the country (Savage), and they run a truncated version overnights. They should dump Hewitt from 6-9PM and put Savage on live, then run Levin from 9PM-11PM. Dump Miller altogether.....he's the most boring thing on radio. If they have to run Hewitt to meet corporate commitments, run it between 12AM-3AM.

I realize that leaves a hole from 11PM-12AM. They could that with just about anything from the Salem stable and get about the same results.

Flipping WNTP back to WIBG and going Oldies would be great. My guess is Salem wouldn't be interested.
