Local PM Drive on 106.7

I was just in my car and was surprised to hear boss jock A.J. Cannon on True Oldies 106.7.

It reminded me that before joining Atlanta's Country Combo, the esteemed Mr. Cannon worked at the former oldies Lake 102 in Buford.

Heard him too betwen 6:30 and 7. After playing "Dock of the Bay" he talked about Otis Redding exhibit at the Ga. Music Hall of Fame winning an award.
:)

Maybe I'm old school here but these are the only Boss Jocks I know of:

Robert W. Morgan, Roger Christian, Gary Mack, The Real Don Steele, Dave Diamond, Sam Riddle, Johnny Williams, Scotty Brink, Steve Clark, Humble Harve, Tom Maule, Johnny Mitchell, Frank Terry, Bobby Tripp, Charlie Tuna, Tommy Vance and Bill Wade.

Perhaps you have Mr. "Cannon" confused with "Shotgun Tom" or "Machine Gun Kelley"... both of Los Angeles radio fame. But neither of "Boss Jock" (KHJ) fame. And/or Cannon may have worked on that station AFTER the "Boss" era ended in the early 70's?

In the 60's, there was a Boom Boom Cannon and a Boom Boom Branigan. Boom Boom Cannon supposedly had set a record for being fired from the most stations.
