LOCAL RADIO COMPANY CUTS MORNING SHOW HOST!

Wake up and smell the coffee Clanghamm or whatever you're calling yourself these days. This is yesterday's news. People in the know knew about this 24 hours ago. Your news is about as new as the news broadcasts on the Forever stations. Good thing you have a subscription to the Mirror or you'd probably still be in the dark. Most of us already know who's Charlie's new co-host will be but we'll wait a few days for you to post it.

Sorry, no subscription to the Mirror silly goofus! ;)

I no longer live in Altoona, and glad to be out of there, however I do check the Mirror every so often online.
I am sure many did not know about Steve if they also live out of town, and quite a few on here do.

P.S. Clangham=Chuck Langham, so no hiding here.

Fryman, I sent you a PM. Check that then go play in your frybox.

I hope the Handsome Brothers will be able to step in and buy some of the signals from the floundering Forever chain. Things must be going down the toilet really fast in the swamp. Do any of you experts have the inside scoop or prediction on who will have their mics unplugged next?

Possibly a man who is suffering hair loss and for years drove an old green car. I believe it might have been a dodge dart and that's I'm saying. Any comments satelite man?

I wonder if the Dart is still around? Wasn't it GREEN? Was this some kind of an omen as to what the future held. It would be great to dust off the old DART and slap those silly frog faces all over it. I can see the Frogman sitting in the back seat being driven all around central Pennsylvania by someone wearing the Frog outfit.

The Dart may still have the cardboard license plate on it.

The Frogman being out, I can't see it...He's a damn institution in radio. Much more so then Pork Mussel and Roger Quarry.

Is Rick Neely gone too? I see he is now off all the Forever websites.

Mr. Neely is still doing some tracking for forever but like everyone else.... very little, almost to the point of.... why even bother. he may have pulled his own mic cord.

I believe they have eliminated a lot of the voice-tracked shifts and are just running liners. I think that's what Froggy will do seven overnights a week. That doesn't leave much of an opportunity for even part time people who want to learn something about radio.

I can tell the part time people EVERYTHING they need to know about radio in 2 words.... STAY OUT

Switching frequencies...Does anyone know what happened to Caleb James and the Mix 94.7 morning show? Phyllis LaSalle the chain smoking gal and all the others have been AWOL for a couple of weeks.

He resigned to reprioritize. He was doing the morning show at MIX and sales at Value City Furniture and the hours caught up. He said in his open letter on the Mix website...it was to do better toward God, his children and his wife.

Is Crickett gone? What about the all night tadpole character? Are they still "live" 6P to 6A? Do you know anything about any of this satelite man? :-\

I've got the Froggy website pulled up here and the staff is showing no Crickett.
However, there is Frogman, Kellie Green, Polly Wogg, Pete Moss and Tad Pole.
Do you think their missing a Crickett? This may just be the opportunity I've been looking for to break into show business. I'm gonna change my name from allnitesatelite to Jeremiah Wasza...as in Jeremiah was a bullfrog, and see if i can
hop into a part time position. Ribit!

My understanding is that she was let go and more changes are coming at WALY!

Rush Limbaugh saved AM radio on a national level, what we need in Altoona is that one person who can save local radio. Let's face it, only one person ever truely dominated this town and region, and he's the only one who could do it again.
SEAN McKAY! I wish one of these radio station owners would get some smarts about them and make it happen.

Now Now.... lets get real here.... WE ALL know the only reason anyone listens to LOCAL radio is because of the LOCAL personalities....even as thin as that term may be.... BUT. Anyone can get music via Ipod or satellite radio. So common sense would dictate that LOCAL people actually on air....now matter what the talent level may be, is what will keep the listener. NOT until the local owners get a clue as to where the revenue is truly generated will they ever consider keeping radio as it should be....LIVE 24/7! They are cutting their OWN THROATS.
