Local sports stations stink.

It's impossible to praise anything on this board, because others will always comment on how much they think it sucks.. Might I suggest trying all 3 stations and see which one you like best? Or, perhaps check out the ratings to see which station that men 25-54 seem to overwhelmingly prefer... Ah yes, it appears that the unfunny, skit-repeating, news-ignoring, numbingly tired, little Ticket seems to be kicking the ever-loving sh!t out of the other two sports stations. (again)

I'm not saying the Ticket is a bad station, I'm just saying I don't find it to be as entertaining as the rest of Dallas does.

No you called it horrible. Not bad.

I think a lot of folks who don't like ticket think they do not talks sports or know sports. They are stuck with the boobs, farts and bits stigma, but I would put any of the hosts up against anyone in the nation when it comes to sport talk, except Gordo.

What you said. And Gordo has uncanny ability to predict the outcome of games...

Another great thing about The Ticket is they don't fall into sports talk cliches. They make fun of them.

Just moved to the DFW area and man-oh-man do the local sports talk shows suck. I moved from Nashville and thank God I can still listen to them on the internet.

I like the music stations better here but I am extremely disappointed in the sports talk. I expected better from DFW. I knew there would be a TON of Cowboys talk, etc. but it's the people on the show that are dull and boring to me.

Maybe I just need to give it more time. I have found a few non-sports shows that I do like.

My goodness, the Fan does wreak of them riding jerry jones jock strap. YUCK! I hate it when they defend JJ and JG. Even so far as to interview one of the cowboys PR persons. What a joke.

I have found myself listening to 1310 more than the others but none of the stations really draw me in. I'm trying....really.

But I also find myself going to the net to listen to the shows I know and love.

I've never owned a super-duper fancy-dancy "smart" phone but I find myself considering buying one so that I can listen to shows without the laptop.

I will say this about the DFW area though....it's a helluva lot better than Lubbock or Abilene! LOL. So there's that.......

Even the Ticket pulled their horns in bit when they were the flagship station for the Cowboys.

A current beat writer who works for a major U. S. newspaper and covers a major league sports team in a major market said it best about all sports talk stations. He said, "Tell me something I don't know". I couldn't have said it better.

Don't agree with the "Skits" statement.
Facts are not subject to your disagreement. Voiced skits played on the morning program are replayed again in that evening's and next-day-dawn recaps, and then again on the next day's morning program.

Well, that's it. I'm done. I've given the stations a try for several weeks now and even though the people are, at times, funny and informative, they just don't keep my interest. I don't find myself wanting to turn on the show the next day. I listen for about 15 minutes and change the channel.

It's been a shock and a letdown for such a large market. Crazy how different parts of the country seem to like certain shows over others.

I'm just glad that today I can listen online or by other means to shows that *I* like and want to hear.

Peace.

If you have an HD radio receiver, there's also an all Dallas Cowboys station on 105.3 HD3...with much of the overnight schedule filled with Fox Sports radio.

Well the only time the Musers relay a bit is at 6:40 (the previous days 8:40 bit) and sometimes not even then.. so if you gonna bash, least your facts need to be correct

Well, CBS Sports Radio has just made its Ticket debut.

The host that's on now sounds like Jerry Jones with a cancer kazoo.

That's Scott Ferrall from Ferrall on the Bench. That has been known. Check to see what KRLD-FM will be airing overnights.

CBS Sports.. it started last night

So is Dan Patrick officially gone from KTCK or will they put Dan Patrick on right after the Hardline?

T.C. said Dan Patrick is off the Ticket. Apparently KTCK will air CBS Sports Radio from the end of the Ticket Top Ten until 1 a.m. when the midnight show on the Fan signs off, then the Fan will take over CBS and the Ticket will go back to Yahoo.

Makes sense. Wow more money is made with the Top 10 than Dan Patrick, even on tape delay.
