Local TV LLC. officially for sale

We just got the official word this morning. I don't think it has hit the trades yet.

Local TV LLC. will sell all its stations, and they hope to find someone interested in the whole group. Personally, I will be surprised if that happens.

I thought they already were for sale just not on the market? With them being for sale and Sinclair buying, Tribune having ties to at least the Former fox stations (FOX CO acquisitions) could it be possible they snag them as they seem like the likely fit.

We always knew the ownership was temporary. Oak Hill bought the stations at the top of the market, and if the market recovered to an acceptable level, we figured they would try to exit as quickly as possible.

I see. Can i ask how close is tribune in the operations as I know they shared web platforms (first tribune interactive and they both have wordpress VIP through separate deals, the head of tribune news was/is the head of Local TV news operations, they share engineering and they launch shows and digicasts (on the spot, antenna TV), they operate 2 tribune stations, and I heard they have some relationship with the Fox station licenses.

There is more separation now than in the beginning. From my perspective, the biggest obstacle might be untangling the newsroom software/video servers/other playback servers/master control software-- which Tribune developed on its own.
