Locally Owned Stations in Detroit?

Hello Folks-

I live on the West coast but will be in Detroit next week. I'd like to visit a locally owned station (if one exists) within Detroit or its outskirts/surrounding towns. Or if that isn't an option, perhaps a station that has historical meaning to Detroit.

Could anyone here throw out some suggestions?
