Logging Antarctica

LRA 36 Antarctica Archangel San Gabriel radio on right now. 15476Khz on the upper sideband, and barely above the threshold.

This is an Argentine owned station broadcasts from the Esperanza Base in Argentine Antarctica.

Oops. Just disappeared at 5:35PM EST.

So much for that. DX can be fleeting.

The only time I logged Antarctica was in the 1980's when I heard ham station KC4AAA working U.S. stations on 15 meters.

According to Nielsen, LRA 36 is #1 12+ among female penguins 18-34 who speak Spanish, with Italian as a second language. Quite a market saturation, I'd say.

Great catches, Icangelp and Boombox!

Only Steve.

If they had a laughing smiley, I'd post it. Wait, I remember how to do it the old way. :)

I heard they dominate ratings in the far-flung Islands of Langerhans. You can thank the Firesign Theatre for that one. The Adventures of Nick Danger, I think?
