Lohan is freed. Drive at your own risk.

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/38518257/ns/today-entertainment/#slice-2

Why in hell is the media fixated with this broad?

She is nothing but a spoiled, self-centered brat, who would have served more than 90 days in jail had the media not turned her into a front page story.

Real justice would have been for Lohan to serve her 90 day sentence in Afghanistan with other 20 year olds who are serving their country, and putting their lives on the line.

Instead Lohan gets to whine about being in a jail cell, and gets to call her hair sylist and make up crew in order for her to look good when released after serving less than half of her sentence.

As for rehab.....you think that's going to make any difference? Want to bet that within a year Lohan will be back before a judge charged with DUI, or drug possession.

At least Lohan keeps TMZ and Entertainment Tonight staff employees working.

The only way for it to end would be for EVERYBODY to stoop talking about it.

Of course, it's the media that helps excaberate the problem -- she's practically only a B-Lister, yet they've been giving her even more coverage than President Obama.

Sometimes, complaining about the coverage would get the media to ease off. Not saying anything about it would mean approval by default.

Most of what was posted above is bogus. Here are some facts:

Many non-violent inmates in L.A. County are released early for a variety of reasons, mostly because of severe overcrowding. Lohan's release after two weeks is not unusual.

She was not released into the wild. She was taken to the Reagan rehab center where she will serve out the remainder of her sentence and then she will be on probation for a considerable amount of time. Should she not fulfill the probation terms she will automatically return to jail.

Lohan has definitely not received more coverage than Obama. It just seems that way.

You sure seem to know a lot about her for someone without cable, landtuna.
Her message must be spreading across the nation by some means. ;D

I get most of my news from the Net there Quad but, coincidentally, this very subject was a segment on one of the morning shows in my market this very morning. I don't usually pay much attention to Hollyweird news because I don't go to concerts or listen to AC on the radio.

Just to keep it level.....the same show did a piece on Lady Gag-me as well but because she did a speech on our SB1070 (immigration enforcement law) while doing a local concert over the weekend. I'm sure all the 12-year olds in her audience paid close attention.
