LOL at Kesha getting a recording contract

She ain't as terrible looking... but I don't like her songs.

Her live appearance at the Kiss 108 summer concert sounded awful this year. That not-so-memorable performance is available on You Tube.

The fact that she has had a couple of huge hits means she should have a recording contract. Whoever made the decision to sign her was exactly right. She may not be around in 5 (or 2) years but that doesn't matter now. Disposable songs and artists have always been a part of what makes CHR fun.

"Take It Off" ..... I'm sorry.... but this is one song I'd like to see banned from OTA radio..... just Beyond Standards and Practices !!!

I may not be able to adequately define a song that is obscene, but, I do know it when I hear it.

Yes, just like Porn should be delegated to subscription TV, so should a song like this be delegated to subscription Radio, imo.

There are song about immoral themes, and then, there are some songs that are immoral.

Shocking that I could take such a stand ? ! !

I do !!

LOL, I didn't even get to ask my "Is she better than Lisa Paige?" question in time for XCountry. :D

If they take this song off the radio, then they might as well remove many of the hip hop and even pop songs as well Unlike this song, which I couldn't tell was obscene (and never cared to pay close enough attention to find out), there were many other hits that were straight up in your face obscene and far worse to the point where you could tell how bad it was - even without taking an effort to intentionally pay any attention to the lyrics. I kind of wonder what I'd think of KE$HA if I was still that age? I don't know or remember of any songs like hers being around when I was in my teenage years. JJ Fad and L'Trimm... in my opinion, I'd say they were better than KE$HA.

I love "Take it off". It brings back fond memories of a song I knew as boy with these lyrics..."There's a place in France where the naked ladies dance, there's a hole in the wall where the men would see them all". The guys used to sing that in the locker room of a community center I would go swimming at. This was such a long time ago that it seems like another lifetime, but I always remembered that song. "Take it off" is set to that exact tune and even has some of the same lyrics. So I have loved this song from the first time I heard it.

Latest Ke$ha news, she is going to start her own fashion line, she said that she wanted to quote "bring capes back into style" Any thoughts?

Late to tjis one, but "Take it Off" sounds like a proper opportunistic rip-off of what's probably public domain. Guess that just makes it a cash-in.

Where this song goes over the edge is in the line

Where they go hard-core
With the glitter on the floor

I've seen my share of "hard-core" in the XXX mags. But, with my def. of "hard-core" this is just pushing orgies to whoever is listening to the radio.

One thing to sing in the locker-room, another to sing in public

I take back much of what I said about KE$HA. I go back to my very first comment ever on her, which was; She has talent, but chooses to "act like she doesn't" in certain songs. She's good in her videos, though.. at least the ones I've seen.

I ran across Kesha in concert on a cable music channel a week ago, and, I was not impressed. I know that with a video shoot, either live or otherwise, you can manipulate the shots. But, this concert footage showed enough for me to just not be impressed with Kesha's act.

She's coming to the House of Blues (Dallas) for those that want more of her....

I do think that Kesha should definitely cover Far East Movement's "Like a G6". What a extremely natural "fit" for her !!

I don't think Ke$ha's ugly, but she looks like someone that would come from a trailer park.

I'll admit that I'm liking her music more, despite how awful "Tik Tok" is.

I liked Ke$ha a lot for a while but am growing tired of her. Most every song is the same old thing, same attitude, etc.. it's worn out for me.. and that new one 'Sleazy' is just terrible!

I could care less about how she looks, etc.. I just like to hear a good song.. and she has definitely had some catchy ones with great remixes!
