John Mayer- Don't try to claim Daughters as a hit, because it was one of the more prevalent songs of the payola scandal currently being pursued by Elliot Spitzer.

The rest of your post was dead-on, but this statement doesn't hold water. If you guys didn't play anything just for the money, there'd be 12 currents on your station.

That's not necessarily true... you give each song that comes along to you equal opportunity for the audience to approve or disapprove of (yes, I'm talking about listener involvement in the formation of the playlist... what a concept!) and cull your top 40 from there. Does that mean the definition of "current" would have to extend to a longer span of time? Not necessarily, but possibly. Is that really such a bad thing?

This is awful. This is even worse than "Hollaback Girl" (which I somehow ended up liking).

Didn't like either songs. This one really sucks. The BEPs were so much better before she came along and ruined everything and turned a rap group that thought outside the box into another face in the crowd of mediocore crappy urban music.....damn I miss the early 90s.
