long time broadcaster dies

I think it should be noted that Richard (Dick) Haggart passed away last week at the age of 65. Dick used the name "Tom Richards" when he worked at WRTA in the late 60's and early 70's. Tom was born in Kittanning and came to Altoona when Mod Rod Wolf hired him from WBUT in Butler. Tom was the mid day man and program director at WRTA and host of the original Dial and Deal. He later went on to work for Sears in the mall for many years. He was a good guy with a big heart and truly loved radio. I was sad to see that none of this was mentioned in the Altoona Mirror obit.
