Long time Indiana broadcast owners

Just read that Uncle Len and son Leigh Ellis are selling their Northwest Indiana cluster to Adams. Those Valparaiso stations date back to 1964 under the same ownership.

Then, there's the talk that the Engelbrecht family will be selling WIKY Evansville and their South Central group. WIKY dates back to 1948 under Engelbrecht ownership.

Both stories got me thinking about long time owners in the Hoosier state. I know that Schurz has owned WSBT South Bend since the early 1920s. Tarzian put WTTS on the air in Bloomington is the late 40s. White River / Findlay Publishing has owned the WCSI stations in Columbus, IN since the late 1950s. The Dille family's Federated Media bought the old WKJG Ft. Wayne radio stations in 1971.

The question is what other long time commercial radio owners are there in Indiana - dating back say 40 years or more? Who am I not thinking of?

Dave Keister, WCBK in Martinsville since 1967, and since having expanded to numerous other stationss.

Vern Kaspar has owned WILO-1570 in Frankfort since 1959. In 1962 (I believe), he added WILO-FM (99.7) which is now WSHW. I worked for Vern briefly in 1970 and still talk to him, via ham radio, once in a while. He is 92 years old and works most every day from what I gather. Two of his sons manage his stations in the Frankfort, IN and Suburban St. Louis, MO areas.

WCSI & WKKG COLUMBUS owned by Findlay Publishing Company dba White River Broadcasting for as long as I can remember.
