Long Time Kentucky Morning People.

Who has done morning radio the longest?

Jack Pattie has done mornings continuously at WVLK since 1984. He was also on morning drive in the late seventies on WVLK and before that on WBLG.

Wayne Perky lasted thirty years on WHAS.

Joe Lowe did the morning show on WVJS for about twenty-five years, then it migrated to WOMI, after that a brief stint to WBIO and a return to WOMI until his death for about 35 years.

Russ Hatter was the WFKY morning man for many years.

Any others?

Bobby Cook at WKYQ Paducah. Going on 26 years in morning drive and sounding better than ever.

When it comes to long time employees it's hard to beat Bristol in Paducah. How long has the Bear been with them? And Gary Morse was the GM for decades before his passing.

How about George Lindsey? He was on Magic 100 WKJJ,WAVG 970,WLSY101.7,Mix 102 WLRS, and has been on Love 102.3 WULV and The Max WMHX for over 10 years.

Didn't Dick Braun work in morning radio for awhile? I think he worked at WAMZ 11 years. I'm not sure of the other places he worked.

He worked mornings at WAMZ for a bunch of years. Before that he worked at WINN as "Wretched Richard" and before that at WKLO. I believe WAMZ was the only place he did mornings but I could be wrong.

Brian Jackson at WSTO and WQXQ (now). A legend among those in Western Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

Scooter Davis & Myla Thomas at The Beaver in Bowling Green are another group worth mentioning.
