Long time Polka Broadcaster has Cancer

Just got word that long-time polka broadcaster John Jeski has cancer. Jeski has been hosting a Sunday afternoon polka show on WRYM 840 AM for more than 30 years. His website says it's the longest running remotely broadcast show on the air. (The show originates at the Polish National Home in Hartford). A non-commercial version of his show airs Saturdays on WRTC 89.3 FM. Sponsors of his Sunday afternoon show have already begun pulling their spots. They are currently looking for a replacement host.

How did I hear about this? A co-worker of my father is a Sales Guy for Mr. Jeski and helps out with the Sunday Afternoon Show.

You didn't say what his chances of recovery are. Hopefully he will pull through. In any case he should start drinking his beer while he's here. I mean that in a heartfelt way. Longtime listener.
