Long-time TV anchor wins congressional primary in CT

Janet Peckinpaugh won a Republican three-way primary in eastern Connecticut by a comfortable margin last night. She will run for Congress in November against an incumbent Democrat. Although Janet was late to the party for running for office, it looks like she won it because of name recognition. It will be interesting to see if both national parties invest significant money and effort in the 2nd district race.

Congratulations to her... Gee, I wonder who she's going to choose as a running mate? Al Terzi? Jo Ann Nesti, perhaps?

In other news, Linda McMahon won the primary for Connecticut Senator. One would think that she won on name recognition, as well.
