Newark Public Radio “Jazz 88” WBGO Newark, NJ has revamped its weekday programming to feature “less stops in your music listening experience,” Chief Content Officer Stevan Smith posted to the station website. “Aesthetically, we will rebrand our dayparts as ‘Daybreak’ for mornings, ‘Drive Time’ for afternoons, and ‘Lights Out’ for evenings. These changes are in step with the common daily routines of most listeners' lifestyles, but the definitions of these shifts can be retrofitted to include the lifestyles of many.” As part of the new lineup, WBGO adds “Favorite Things with Pat Prescott,” which will air from 12-2pm on weekdays. Prescott is based at Audacy adult R&B “94.7 The Wave” KTWV Los Angeles (94.7) where she hosts 6am-12pm. Prior to relocating to Los Angeles, Prescott previously served as MD/on-air personality at the former jazz-formatted WRVR New York.
