Longtime Memphis radio DJ Mark Billingsley dies

Radio station KIX 106 announced Friday the death of Mark Billingsley, who was a popular DJ for the station for more than 20 years.

Billingsley had a medical emergency Nov. 23 and was not able to recover, according to a GoFundMe page set up by friends of “Memphis Mark” Billingsley.

He was 53.

KIX 106 is asking for supporters to respect Billingsley’s family during this time and to make a contribution to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.

The GoFundMe page is also open for donations.

Information on funeral arrangements is forthcoming.
