LOOK, up in the sky, it's klty with a message

Bob: "Hey, you see the Cowboys game last night."

Steve: "Sure did. Great game."

The Apostle Paul: "Football is great but do you know there is a game vetting for your soul right now that you may not know about?!"

VDV, thanks for this! I laughed out loud. I have been in situations like this.

Moving some conversations in a different direction is like tying to go from first to fourth gear on a ten ton Mack Truck going downhill!

"Hey, my car needs to be washed. Wanna go?"

"Yes, but on the way back, perhaps we can cleanse your SOUL. It IS Sunday, after all..."

No offense, roman, but I just thought this was funny. Even though your point is well taken and I think by Federal law you shouldn't be able to play more than one Christmas song per hour till December 10th.

I wouldn't go THAT far. 3 or 4 an hour seems acceptable, like 1 song in every quarter hour. I'd just restrict 100% until mid December. ;)

I must thank you for providing me with one of the better laughs that I've had in recent memory. You're right, if I'm speaking to a friend about the football game it would be a bit odd to turn the conversation in the way of evangelization. You have a good point there. But what I think you (and perhaps others on this board) fail to realize is that the topic of the conversation at the time I interrupted with my comment was about Christmas music on radio stations. Pardon me for pointing out what perhaps should be obvious, but Christmas music is intended to be focused on 'Christ. ' So when one enters a conversation about Christmas music with a comment about Christ, it's not quite the same as entering a conversation about football and introducing Christ. You must understand that it was not I that changed the topic. I merely brought the topic back to it's origin.

And all I'm saying is you never really know who you are talking to in a crowded room, so picking the proper time to witness should be a sniper shot, not a broad sweeping cannon shot from the rafters. Without getting to esoteric for those of you playing at home, imagine if Paul, Peter or Philip would have had an untimely gaff, relied on self rather than the Spirit and threw out a line without understanding the audience. The result would have been drastically different than what we read about today.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming. 8)

Roman, you're doin' fine. Keep with what you believe in. You've done it in a polite, eloquent, and rational way. Excuse us--okay, ME--for having maybe a bit too much fun with what you clearly hold to be a real and genuine spiritual issue for you.

No offense intended. And Merry...and have a great day. ;)

OK, so what does all this have to do with an airplane in the sky waving a banner?

JUST KIDDING!!!!

Peace :)

Apologies to all offended by perceived proslytation. Just pointing out the absurdities of christians celebrating Christmas during Advent. My point is, when a commercial christian station has to choose between liturgy and commerce, commerce wins.
NOW, as to Christmas, you can thank the druids for the celebration anyway, since Christ was actually born in the spring, and the date was chosen to adapt the Solstace celebrations my ancestors observed. Likewise, celebrating the Devils Birthday on All Hallow's Eve doesn't make much sense, until you consider the Celtic Druids again...That's the 'Reason For The Season' there too. So, may I be the first to wish you a festive Candlemas, a Merry May Day, and a lovely Lamas.

Hey... as long as the fat man in the red suit slides down my chimney at midnight, I don't worry about anything else. ;D ;) :)

Oh wait a minute.... I don't have a chimney
