Looking At & For CHEAP LOW COST Digital Radio Solutions

I'm looking at the CS700 for a cheap DMR solution but what's the best cheap D-STAR solution out there Without going used)

I ask because people are doing innovative things with this proprietary technology & because of this, it'd be nice to have "The Best Of Both Worlds" as it were by having radios for both

Between that & a 3rd HT for APRS as well as analog EchoLink, IRLP & standalone "Old Skool" repeater use would be GREAT !! :)

Since setting up an EchoLink node is really next to impossible where I live, I'm thinking of just relegating my ICOM IC 706 MKII-G to just HF use & using VOIP & Digital modes while mobile :)

Helpful hints out there peeps ??

Cheers & 73 :)
