it was an interesting year in toronto radio...well sort of

eric and mike go from ezrock to chfi

Humble is left solo in the mornings

Jack dumps dj's, news and traffic

640 tweaks its programming to be more news oriented

105.1 signs on the air with french programming

chum fm tweaks its format to sound more like hot a/c with cuts from green day and the killers


things that I would like to see in this year.....


Mix 99.9 change formats........maybe they could become more top 40 based or try something completley different

q107 should play more hairbands like back in the 80's...keep classic rock

That most likely will not happen. They will most likely carry on with more of the same. I hope, at the very least, Saturday nights stay the same there, I happen to enjoy listening to Punch Andrews retro mix Saturday night.

Who airs House of hair on Saturday nights?
It's not in my best interest to encourage ANY station to pick up a sattelite feed, but if no one is carrying the show in Southern Ontario (close enough to be heard in Toronto on the Canadian side) then perhaps Q should pick it up for Saturday nights.<P ID="signature">______________

I wouldn't touch Q. Wait until S1 is realeased at least to see if the fall was the start of a trend or just a blip.

The problem with 80s hair is that is sounds very dated, while 70s based classic Rock sounds more credible and timeless.

But...there's still hope for 80's hair on a Saturday night, somewhere in Southern Ontario, (and/or Toronto) I believe, wether it be the House of hair feed being picked up, or some in house program being produced, or done live...and it doesn't have to be Q, it could be 97.7 "Htz" Fm picking up the feed perhaps... <P ID="signature">______________

Sure, as a specialty show it makes perfect sense.
