Hi All,

I am stuck with a broken input card. Does anyone has an analog input/output card for sale?

Hi Paul,

The analoque input card is faulty. When the card is swapped with another card the unit becomes operational.
There is no digital output when the defective analog input card is present. It looks like some clock signals ( which are used by the dsp cards ) are generated on this analog card.
This makes me think that the unit cannot work without an analogue card.

Anyway, if you could supply me with a card i would be very very pleased.

No one?

A broken 8200/8282 is also quite welcome.
Reward, cash + bottle of nice whiskey.

I would recommend replacing the two input chips, which are SSM2017's (normally the only socketed 8 pin DIPs on the Analog I/O board). SSM2017's are no longer available, however an SSM2019 (8 pin DIP version) is a direct drop in replacement available from Digikey or Mouser. http://search.digikey.com/us/en/products/SSM2019BNZ/SSM2019BNZ-ND/820396 Also, I believe a THAT1510 will work as a drop in replacement for the SSM 2017 or 2019... but I have not tried it yet.

They were faulty indeed and replaced.

This issue however is caused by some clock issues. Input is fine, digital output ( AES ) and analog output are muted.
Replacing the analog io card makes the unit work like a charm.

With the broken card however, the machine was working, but with some very loud audible clicks in the audio ( possible some or one sample(s) wide ).
And suddenly no audio at all anymore. Just plain white noise ( output ) when the machine is switched on. The white noise dissapears after 1 or 2 seconds.
