Anybody here know of hot sounding CHR's using Optimod's 8400? Please PM me. Thanks!

don't mean to burst your bubble, but most HOT sounding chr's are using the omnia 5 or 6 and some the new dsp-extra with araine...maybe the Orban folks can give you some insight..good luck

Please feel free to contact Marty Acuff (510 351 3500), who is Orban's primary Optimod technical support engineer, with any questions you might have. As far as major-market CHR goes, KIIS in Los Angeles was using an 8400 for a while and then upgraded to an 8500 to take advanatge of the 8500's built-in HD Radio diversity delay.Bob Orban

Thanks for your help Bob! Couldn't be happier with the new box! Sounds hot.

Running an 8400 at KOB-FM/Albuquerque. Get the latest firmware upgrade and use the 'Greg' setting. With some minor tweaking like speeding up release time and a few other minor mods - IT SMOKES!

I just installed a 8300 (which is effectively a cheaper 8400). Damn, what a cool sound that thing has! The stock settings are quite lacking, but with adjustment.. WOW!
