Looking for a boss.

Long story but if anyone knows of someone with GM and sales experience in the Tamp area - let me know. I am offering a stock option, salary commensurate with experience, and all the perks if you have the right qualifications. Must be a big thinker with specific experience as stated above. Please let me know your email address if you are interested in learning more. This is a huge opportunity and a bit of a long shot as well but the sky is the limit.

SCAM. I know who this guy is. Sad.

Hmmm. If I were a GM in the area, I'd be trying to find out who wants me out of my job.

I would be asking why you are hiding as an anonymous poster.

I'm not, I'll keep my taxi.

I'll be working tomorrow with none of these concerns.

Usually, I am skeptical on things that are labeled both "a huge opportunity" and "a bit of a long shot" in the same breath...

And where exactly is this "Tamp area" that he refers to? ::)

I'm going to go on a limb and suggest this has something to do with the WSRQ sale.

We must have 100% employment in our industry. Doesn't seem as if any one is interested. Too bad. I thought this was a good idea to attract good candidates. Guess not. I'll have to go the traditional route. If anyone changes their mind, [email protected]

I wish I knew what that meant...

With all due respect, some of us don't believe you.

I got a decent radio gig off here once. I'll be your GM! lulz
Go for it, Cedric! I hope this is for real.

I dunno, when broadcast companies look for a GM, they usually aren't looking for someone who's actually WORKED in radio and knows a bit about it... they just want some guy who looks good in a suit and is willing to put on a smile and lie to all the clients... I'll pass.

LOL! "Some of us don't believe you?" Perfect. An interested party is so skeptical that they can't even send an email. Not really someone I would want to have work with me anyway. Hasta La Vista.

Hey Jeff from Sarasota. I just checked me email and got a number of interested inquiries. So at least some people are willing to at least go the first step.

I knew we would agree somewhere in this thread...

Unlike our friend "RickSclar77", I don't think you are a scam, but if your were serious in using this part of the Radio-info board, you might have wanted to read through the posts and threads and narrowed it down with some "pm"'s, rather than posting something sounding like a poorly written ad.

With that said, I wish you luck with the people who have responded. You might start with Cedric. (maybe convince him he looks good in a suit, too.)

I never said I don't look good in a suit... but anyway, good luck stealing me away from Dave & Lola. There's a guy over at Salem Tampa (Chris Gould) he looks REALLY good in a suit.

Guys and Girls, this thread has been a good example of the some of the problems not only
in broadcasting, but in business in general.

Here is a person who claims to be want to have help with their venture, in this case a
"GM" position.

People seem to forget, the interview and hiring goes both ways:
1.) The person doing the hiring is looking to see if the candidate will fit into their vision.
2.) The person looking to fill the position is deciding if this is an environment in which
they will feel comfortable.

We normally don’t think of #2.

Our friend said, that “others willing to take the first step”.
No, our friend took the first step, it contacting US about a possible GM postition.

Notice I did not use the term “work”.

“Work” is something you begrudgingly go to and do everyday, usually for someone else.

I haven’t “worked” in 5 years. (more like, 23 years - it’s how long I’ve been in Florida)

Thoughts?

Jeff in Sa-ra-so-ta!
