Looking for a Web site that has TV skeds for all broadcast & cable/sat networks

I'm searching for this kind of site. Every tv market. If you wanted to see if "Saturday Night Fever" was airing today on any TV market, you just enter title in search. And bingo!

I guess you can go to www.zap2it.com and choose DirecTV's lineup; that should cover most of the cable entities, at least...
______________

http://www.titantv.com/ can do that if you know a lot of zipcodes. Great for identifying E-skip, too.

www.titantv.com is a great website.
You can also look at DTV streams and their programs as well...

Ya-hoooooooooo!

If you go register with yahoo (it's free), you can set up a "MyPage," where you can access the listings for your cable system provider or area broadcast listings in yoiur area.

Very easy.

Oh yeah, IT'S FREE!

This has all been interesting, but ...

... if you read the original poster's request, he wants something that would allow a search across the schedule of every network and television station, nationwide.

I have kept out of this because I don't know of any such site, but I don't believe the answers that have been posted are particularly helpful, given what he is looking for.

My guess as to why such a thing does not exist is that (1) 99.9% of people don't need/want such a search engine, being only interested in what is available on their own television set; and (2) imagine what a search on something like "That 70's Show" would look like, as it would turn up the first-run episodes on every Fox affiliate, the repeats on F/X, and the repeats on every station that ran them ... that likelihood would probably scare off any listings provider in terms of designing something where a search didn't overtax their database.
______________

Re: This has all been interesting, but ...

Thank you.

I was aware of all the sites mentioned in follow-up posts. I enjoy trading old TV shows/old sports programming. I thought some "TV GEEK" would have made a site I'm looking for. Yes, 99% of the folks don't need it, but I think it would be an interesting tool to have on the Web.

You're welcome, and thank you for confirming that I interpreted your request correctly.

That would have to be one committed "geek", because they would have to input the listings for all those networks and stations, which the existing sites have a staff of support personnel to handle. Not to mention a decent amount of storage space for that database. ($$$)

Not exactly something you can do on GeoCities, Tripod, or Angelfire.

Sorry you have to be disappointed. I know that even that 1% is a decent number of people who would like such a site.
______________
