LOOKING FOR AIRCHECKS OF THE FIRST FM STATIONS

None that old but Andy Bolin has many FM ID's that he has received back to August 1970 at dx.bobandtanya.com. Download any you like...it's all free with no login req'd.

Some recordings do exist. I was one of the speakers at an Audio Engineering Society meeting in New York Tuesday night, and one of the other speakers was Herb Squire of DSI RF Systems, who presented a talk about the audio quality of early FM radio, including some recordings of WOR's early FM station, W2XOR/W71NY, as well as a recording of WNYC-FM circa 1943. Good stuff!
