Looking for an oldie single from the mid-60's

I clearly remember a single that got some play in the mid 60's, a catchy tune that began with a voiced intro imitating a motorcycle that went like, "Brrrum pa-pa-pa-pa, pa-pa, pa-pa", repeated several times. I believe the title may have been "My Red Motorcycle" which included the lines

"C'mon pretty baby on my red motorcycle,
pa-pa-pa-pa, pa-pa-pa-pa
Goin' round and round to the other side of town,
Goin' yea yea yea, don't you know that I'm around
Goin' yea yea yea yea yea, my motorcycle

Someone out there must remember this. Strange that I haven't been able to find it on YouTube, which is usually a sure bet

No, but he was in the band. Simon was using the stage name Jerry Landis at the time. "Tico" was a guy named Mickey Borack.

That record has a similar sound to one I have in my collection by Jerry Landis titled " Lone Teen Ranger". I also have another motorcycle themed instrumental by Steve Rowland called "Out Ridin' "
 
That sounds much more like a late 50's song than '61. I've never heard it before (and don't care to hear it again).

In the late 50's we had the payola scandal and labels associated with it were dropped from radio play pretty quickly. That led to several years of: Motown music, girl groups, a much softer sound (after the 'in your face' style of early BeBop). It was largely a forgettable time in pop music expunged only by the British Invasion a couple years later.

I was in high school at the time and remember clearly the negative opinions of myself and my peers at the music changes.
 
There has been plenty of low-quality, forgettable crap music in every decade, but we just remember the good stuff, and the rest stays buried.

This one is right up there with Joey Reynolds' "Rats in My Room".
