Looking for an Optimod 8200 for a client

I really didn't get from the 8200 what I wanted. Ofcourse there were two versions. One was three band and the other 5 band I think.

Given the iffy 8200 issues - works great or not at all. Had 2 to die early on. Never got that great sound I expected.

I found Cornelius Gould has established some presets for the Omnia One. One is an 8100 preset. Sounds incredibly clean. Some AAA presets and one for NPR. You might demo one. I have demoed two and not returned a One.

Agreed, but the 8200 is what the client wants. I have tried talking the guy into the 5300 which is basically an updated 8200, but the client loves the sound of a 8200V3. I'm seeing many Omnia 1's also.

They're LOADED with RC5532 opamps-even put composite through them-UGH!!

Look again. The schematic I'm looking at right now (p 6-67 in the manual) shows the composite path contains LM318s and an LM1010 high-current line driver. All the 5532s only carry 15 kHz bandwidth audio, for which 5532s at relatively low gains are far more than adequate. (Having done extensive input/output null tests with 5532s, I can say this with some measure of confidence.)

Hi guys !
I'm new here. I was going to put it on ebay and I found this thread.

I have a Orban Optimod 8200 FM up for sale.
It is in good condition and in working order.
fm-engineer, contact me via email if you're still looking for one.
