Looking for better oldies variety on FM?

Try 88.1 WELH weekdays between 12pm and 7pm. Their moniker is "Solid Gold Oldies And Soul" and they play a great mix of music without the classic rock. Thier studio is located at the Wheeler School in Providence and the tower is located in Seekonk, MA (just east of East Providence, RI).
 
I agree! WELH is the best non-commercial station in RI. They are always on the air, and their oldies format blows away B101. If they had a better signal, they would take serious listeners away from the B. Solid Gold Oldies and Soul Rocks!!!! Great Tunes............M

ps......they should go STEREO
 
Isn't WELH the "Brown Student Radio" when it's not running the Wheeler School programming, or the aforementioned oldies show?

BSR leases the time from WELH in the evenings. I don't know if they actually pay money for it or if it's just a mutually beneficial arraingment to keep the FCC from splitting the frequency to another licensee.
