Looking For CHR playlist of older songs.

Looking at building our CHR oldies category. I think most CHR stations don't play anything much older than two years old. Could be wrong. Looking for an on line playlist besides the hits & re-currents.

Thanks

If you can identify some stations that are doing what you have in mind, you may want to check the www.yes.com site. Type the call letters into the box in the upper left, and click the Top Songs tab. That shows a more or less rank-ordered list of that station's 100 most played songs during the past week. You could then sift through currents and recurrents to find others that the station has played.

One caveat is that yes.com is less useful than it used to be for something like this, now that it has recently cut back on markets and stations. Some of the Eastern and Midwestern markets have vanished altogether, and some significant stations are missing from the markets that are still in place.

That said, this may be the best no-cost source for you, given that presumably you are not working with a programming consultant (who could provide exactly what you have in mind) and that you cannot afford a paid source like Mediabase (which is more comprehensive than yes.com).

Hope that helps!
