Looking for directional AM engineer

I have a couple of directional AM's in the far southwest and am in dire need of an engineer who understands and can rebuild them to original specs. I was told of a fellow in your area and have called a couple of the group owners in Scranton and no one seems to know who it is. I have a partner who worked with him in the Scranton area in the mid 80's building a station near there but he cant remember his name or where he was from. All I have to go on is a vague description of this guy. Might he or anyone who knows him be on this blog?

Ronnie Schacht is the best engineer I ever worked with. And he LOVES AM..Give him a tube and a soldering iron and he'll give you a transmitter within the hour.
 
Thanks a bunch guys. Ill check this one in Iowa, see what I can find. Supposedly from what my partner said about him is that the guy is sort of odd, a bodybuilder who carries 500 lb transformers like grocery bags and rides an old roachy Harley year around, Does this sound right?
 
LOL there is no better description of Ron Schacht.. Of course his cousin Bob is about as good. There was no stopping that team. There's also Chet.
 
ron learned from the best..milan krupa who did work at wbax back in the 60s and 70s. milan built a homemade reverb system that was great on bax..and yes ron is one great guy..chet is good too, if you can get in touch with him when your off the air...he never anwsered his home phone, cell phone or beeper..good luck..by the way ron took his cyle to all the sites even in the winter with newspaper in his coat to keep him war..
 
If Ron or Bob were on Gilligan's Island, they would have been broadcasting at 50k watts within a week with only bamboo and coconuts!
 
Phil galasso from Citadel/ cumulus is looking for work; he kept WARM going for years. he does check in on this board occasionally; I'll contact him thru a friend . Cheers

Hey Guys.. Thanks to all for your help. I found him, it is Ron, the guy who lives in Iowa. You are right, he was still hard to contact but finally I got to him. He said he would be able to give me a hand. I told him about this board but he doesnt seem t o be too much of an internet person .
