Looking for Info on this CBC Made For TV Movie

I have been trying to find some info about a Canadian Made for TV Movie I saw nearly 20 yrs ago.

This would have run on the CBC sometime in the early-to-mid 1990's. I know it was when my in-laws
were still living in Michigan within rabbit ears reception distance of the border. The film ran on CBC and
was entitled "Gross Misconduct: The Brian "Spinner" Spencer Story".

As a longtime Pittsburgh Penguins fan I remembered "Spinner" Spencer, including many of the shockingly
horrible details of his life. But this film really just dredged them all up and put them right out there.
I have since discussed this movie with many other Penguins fans, but have never seen it run again
anyplace here in the States.

Nor is it very easy to find a copy on DVD (I came across one VHS copy on eBay that was going for
an outrageous sum). Does anyone out there have any info on this film? Is it available on home video
anyplace? Only in Canada perhaps?

Spencer has had a sad life most of his career, including back in 1970, when he appeared in an interview on Hockey Night in Canada, during a Leafs / Blackhawks matchup. But back in Fort St. James BC, his father got ticked off when he learned that CKPG in Prince George, the nearest CBC outlet, showed a Canucks / Seals game instead, motivating him to drive to the station and order the master control crew by gunpoint to switch games. Unfortunately, as he left the station, he was shot dead by the RCMP.

Thanks! The YouTube links should be just fine.
This is for purposes of an ongoing discussion amongst Pittsburgh Penguin
fans who remember his brief time playing here.
