Looking For Internet Soft AC Streams

Ah...It's still apparently KQID HD 2 but just renamed from Radio Qupid to Magic FM 100.9

Dropping this station. A nasty song like Blurred Lines on a Soft AC playing the Carpenters is a major No No.

This web-only Soft AC station is playing a new single from a new Neil Diamond album that came out in October.

station: http://www.kliteonline.com/
album: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melody_Road_(album)
new Soft AC single: http://www.amazon.com/Nothing-But-A...keywords=Neil+Diamond+Nothing+But+A+Heartache

Even though Neil is a core artist of the format, the small handful of over-the-air Soft AC's in the US have ignored the new song.
Neil Diamond is my favorite singer. I haven't heard this song before, although I am aware of the new album. I will definitely add this track to the Lite 99 playlist. Thanks for the suggestion on the board here! Not really surprised, however, that the OTA soft AC's are not playing this song. Most broadcast traditional soft AC stations end their playlist around 2000 and don't air currents anymore....although WDUV was playing John Legend's "All of Me" not too long ago, so this may be a new (and positive) development taking place, with old-school soft AC's beginning to incorporate current material again. I would imagine that some of the internet-only soft ACs, such as Soft 'N Easy Net Radio and Joy 99.5, would play this song, however...

This primarily Soft AC station has added a rhythmic track from the 2010's: http://www.channelztheedge.com/

Track added: Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe
Absolutely, positively, not gonna do it wouldn't be prudent at this juncture what part of no don't you understand!!!

I mention this because as I was smapling what was out there on my car radio one day, this came on and I've never heard anything so bad on any AC of any description. I've heard the song (and didn't think it was SO bad) but never at full blast like that.

I don't know whether America's Best Music is playing this one, but they do play newer music by Neil Diamond. The last new song I remember was a country-sounding one by The Beatles.

I initially hated it when I first heard it on a local AC station months ago while working out at my local gym but it's grown on me since then.

The guy that programs the Soft Rock Radio Love channel has updated his Soft Rock station to include some 90's music by artists such as Sheryl Crow, Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, Natalie Merchant. They have a singer/songwriter feel that is the focus of that station. http://www.softrockradio.net/

His Soft Rock Radio Love station still doesn't has very little from the 2000's. He did have Beautiful by Christina Aguilera on the station but I haven't heard that one in a while. The only ones I've heard from the 2000's lately have been In My Daughter's Eyes by Martina McBride and Dance With My Father by Luther Vandross.

Other than classical crossover/easy listening performers (I guess you could consider them standards performers since they cover classics such as Over The Rainbow), most current music I buy consists of country crossover performers (example: Lady Antebellum) and what would be called Triple A performers (singer-songwriters such as those mentioned in the quote).
