Looking For Justin Pawlowski? He's Now At 1010

There's an item that Shaun King's midday show with Toby David is gone at 1010 - but what grabbed my attention is the part that says Justin Pawlowski "is now doing work with 1010 AM after leaving 620 AM."

I would think this also means J-Paw abstains his role as the studio host for the Buccaneers Radio Network, based at 620/103.5. Second time in two years it's now vacant - first, Scott Ledger, now Pawlowski. Is the gig really that bad?

It sounds as though 1010 is a stepping stone station.

Maybe Ledge will go back to 620. He sounded as though he enjoyed being there.

Jeff in Sa-ra-so-ta!

Ya, the Bucs gig is PT. I doubt they'll let him back in the building after threatening a law suit against Diaz after he nearly assaulted him in the building a few months ago.

Justin's a great guy, well informed and a lot of fun, wish him the best of luck at 1010.

The Bucs own their broadcasts so theoretically I guess they could bring him back, but I can't really see them doing that.

As far as the alleged Diaz incident, (if it happened) all I can say is going after someone who's half your age and twice your size would be a bad idea. Although it would have made a great Pay per View.

I really do think it's time for an FM talker in this market, but what do I know....

Justin also did studio work for USF football with Jim Lighthall on 970. I'm guessing he will give up that gig as well, which was likely part-time also.

If you look at Justin's Facebook fan page as "The Commish," he posts some good stuff on there. His website is www.commishonline.com. There doesn't appear to be any mention of 620 on either of his sites.

What happened with Toby and Shaun? You could tell listening to that show the tension between them. Their different opinions get the better of the show? Sounds to me like Pawlowski is going to be getting the 12-3 slot... unless they're bringing back the Sports Chix with Lynn and Roxanne Wilder and Justing moves to mornings?

I know a lot of you like diaz but I couldn't think less of the guy. Brad James, Matt Samon, Justin all gone due to the duchiness of Diaz. Guy gets away with too much imo.

Confirmed yesterday. Justin Pawlowski will be doing the 12-3 time slot at 1010 AM. He was an exception to the rule on 620 WDAE, a station which seemed to have an a-hole, bully type of culture since it came on the air.

Congrats to The Commish. I look forward to hearing what he has to offer.

How could WDAE - the so-called sports leader on the dial in this market - cut loose a guy like Justin Pawlowski? The guy worked hard and did his homework. When he talked about a player or analyzed a situation, even if you didn't agree with him, you got the sense he knew what he was talking about.

on the other hand, Dan Sileo is a babbling fool. He doesn't do his homework and some of his statements are just plain ignorant. This morning i heard him talking about the new orleans saints situation with D-coordinator Greg williams. He said, i wonder if Williams did this stuff when he was at Syracuse.....really? when was gregg williams at syracuse? wrong Greg moron - that's former broncos D-coordinator Greg Robinson.......

and the birthday challenge just ain't the same without the commish.

off my soapbox now...... ;D

It could be worse: you could have been talking about the Saints' bounty system and confusing Gregg Williams with Gary Williams from Maryland (Awful Announcing tweeted it yesterday but neglected to name the host). Still, no excuse for confusing Syracuse with Houston (where Gregg coached for one year).

Meanwhile, the Bucs placed the franchise tag on their kicker... Perhaps it would have been in their best interest to tag Pawlowski... :-X

I get the feeling that Sileo either works really cheap (he's on in Orlando and Tampa), sells part of his own ads, and/or buys the time.

I don't care if he owns the station and works for free. In a market this size it is embarrassing to have a host in a prime slot who doesn't know the facts or is too dumb or too lazy to check them before he blurts them out.

Do your homework, just like susan slusser did on you Mr. Sileo!!!!!

I dont know about that.

The bucs radio network is their own thing, 620 may not have a say in it. After all, they have that idiot Tijay Reaves on the broadcast team and he used to be "the enemy", doing mornings at 1010 "the team" before they dumped sports the last time (circa 2004/5?) and Jim Lighthall does the games for USF which play on 620 sometimes, and he works at 1010 currently.

A lot of good people have left 620 in the past year or so, Matt Sammon, Justin, Whitney Johnson.

They keep that piece of dung hack Dan Sileo around for whatever reason, maybe he does the show for free, who knows. I dont know why Derrick Sharpe sticks around.

Let's not forget Mike Pepper,,also with WQYK AM & FM

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't Buccaneers games on WQYK-AM/FM in the early 2000's? If that's the case, then that means T.J. Rives was most likely in the same foxhole, that is, if he was on 1010 while they were carrying Bucs games.

Don't think it really matters much these days. Whats laughable is you had to have a GPS to find USF Mens Hoops on the radio this season....of course until they actually started winning more than losing and they ended up on 620.

(sounds of more deck chairs shuffling in the Tampa market)
