I'm being interviewed by a newspaper in the region about our Petitions-to-Deny against eleven radio stations owned by Clear Channel and Citadel.I was asked about how Binghamton radio has changed since the take-over by these media giants. I cannot answer, since I moved here in 1998, and didn't really spend much time here till about 2001-ish. --------- Request for local "old timers" -------------I would like to receive comments from people who can talk about how local radio has changed over the long term, even going back to the 1960s-1970s-1980s if you can provide this history.I will accept comments in any form. I would like to talk w/some of you on-camera if possible. But rest assured that I promise not to reveal your identity if you desire anonymity. I'm especially interested in changes in commercialism, and localism. Examples: Did there used to be more local voices/music? Citizens doing editorial replies?
