Just bought the 100mW unit - great audio, very good highs, good separation. I'm getting about a mile range but of course mileage will vary with your installation/channel conditions. I got the unit with power supply & case included. Pretty cool little unit. I'd recommend grounding the case to the RF shield as the case didn't seem to be connected electrically. Electronic tuning is a snap, and it remembers the channel during power-off. Audio level controls inside, also a multiplex injection level control, which is frequency-dependent, so you'll have to adjust it (by ear) if you go to the top half of the band. Not difficult, though.

As for its "cleanliness", I dont know...I'm using an LPF just in case!
