Looking for your thoughts on Mark Levin

Hi, just a guy listening to Levin fill in for Hannity and I have to ask if there's something I'm missing when it comes to his appeal. Is it a New York thing?

Getting to fill in on the show: one of the benefits of sharing a bed with Mr. Hannity. Perhaps you could ask the people on the Dallas board how they like having his show piped in on WBAP.

He is just 1000% more irritating than Sean Hannity....incredibly bad....

He was sleepwalking through the shift...

Sad

It's okay if you hate him, but sleepwalking he wasn't.<P ID="signature">______________

Just to make it known: it's not like I'm slighting him for his political beliefs. I just don't think he has any chops to be a radio host, let alone a host in the number one market in the country.

His high pitched nasal voice grates on me, it interferes with any content he may have, I just can't stand his voice!

Sean Hannity, just like his mentor Rush Limbaugh, will make sure that even though there are solid conservative talk show hosts aplenty, you only let WEAK hosts fill in. I was always amazed at how lame Limbaughs fill ins were. Now, as you would expect, Sean is following suit.

Rush has a couple decent fill-ins; the crappiest one of all is now syndicated. And dying of cancer.

Hosts with actual talent have good fill-ins: Glenn Beck has Joe Crummey, who's excellent, and John and Ken, who are pretty good. Good hosts on crappy networks, though, might be an exception: TRN force-feeds Rick Roberts down Savage's throat.

Levin has a role to play... and at this point, it is not host. he makes a great guest/sidekick when he can focus on what he does best, witty comebacks and good analysis of legal issues. As host, he has to think about formatics and other details that don't sound as though the execution is within his comfort zone. When he is on with Hannity, i love the segments he does with sean. as much as i find hannity to be a sycophant for the GOP, i do listen for the 30 minute ride home. When Levin is on with sean, i will always stay tuned in. However, when i hear levin on his own, filling in for sean, he is much less dynamic.

as for a comment somewhere down below about hannity and rush only allowing 2nd tier talent to fill in for them... thats how i discovered hannity. filling in for Rush, i thought he was way more listenable than Rush (never been a fan. hannity has become way more abrasive on his own show.

He sounds like a blender on the lo setting.

I had heard that Levin does his show from his home in the Phila while pretending to be in the New York market. Any truth to this??
