Looking to get back into radio

Hello,

I am looking to get back into radio after being off the air since 2003. The last radio station I worked for was WPTP 96.5 The Point. I was a weekend air talent. Prior to that I worked for stations in Atlantic City(WFPG), Wilmington (WSTW) and Vineland (WVLT). I have an a radio resume and an aircheck available. Hoping to pick up a weekend air shift soon - it's killing me not being on the air! Thanks.

Anyone lurking for the first time here probably would get the idea that the girl pictured at the console in the RAMAC room was of you, Kathy, via a publicity portfolio selfie, hi.

Good luck in your search, girl -- really. That weekend cup of latte can be a rewarding and fun gig. Of course, it wouldn't pay much. But there would be a little more elbow room; more opportunities for some creativity; fewer hassles, than a full-time position, I should think.

In quite recent years I tried for a cup of coffee, so to speak, at a restaurant. I inquired what there deadest day was -- the day they had trouble staffing the place. 'Sunday' was what I expected, and what I was informed. I was there for five years. I even wound up RUNNING the place on a few occasions! It was almost like a vacation from my other weekly job; a different perspective. Plus the food was not only free but terrific. I know, because I made it :)

Your resume lists FM stations in and around South Jersey. If you're within range of some AM stations, why not seek out those as well as the FMers? Perhaps nearby there's an AM-FM combo, different formats, where they need help. And if radio stations still have this courtesy called 'vacations', the upcoming summer should have a few avails.

Check in and let us know when and where you're on the air next!
