Radio One applies to purchase 2 more translators. These 2 signals will basically give him metro FM coverage and put signal into areas where 1270 doesn't get into very well at night. This could get interesting.
On second look, it just says 2 translators at 93.3 and 94.9 but doesn't show coverage maps or amount paid...Strange.Radio One applies to purchase 2 more translators. It would not surprise me if Buddy paid more for the 2 translators than he paid for WUSW. Also one or both translators will probably be re-engineered and move tower location. Buddy sure knows what he's doing. On second look, it just says 2 translators at 93.3 and 94.9 but doesn't show coverage maps or amount paid...Strange.
Would those be the two translators which relay WZXV in the Rochester market? 93.3 is licensed to Cheektowaga, while 94.9 is licensed for Bowmansville. On second look, it just says 2 translators at 93.3 and 94.9 but doesn't show coverage maps or amount paid...Strange.

I get that she's a higher-up here, so promotion of her site is expected, but the answer, for me, is that the quality of coverage maps on Trip's RabbitEars site are far superior. He is such a fantastic guy, that he even gives you step-by-step instructions on how to generate maps of your own. When are you guys going to start making it a habit to check @Michi's fccdata.org website when you want coverage maps?

I haven't seen "tripinva" perusing around here in quite some time. Shame, really. He was always a quality read.

So far, it seems like WUSW is being sold with WECK. Same small group of sponsors rotating throughout the day. Of course, it's only been a couple of months since Buddy took over the station.Tack on another $50K for hardware, app and website development, STL, etc., and you've got $400K if there's no local talent. It'll be interesting to see if WUSW will make enough of a dent in WBEN to make more money than investing it elsewhere might have done.
