Looks Like Star Has Gone All-Christmas

WEZN-99.9, according to it's playlist as published on Yes.com, appears to have gone all-Christmas. They began playing all-Christmas music at 3 A.M. today (November 25th) according to the Yes.com listings.

I suspect this is probably for the season, although their website (the generic one for Cox-owned music stations) doesn't have an "all-Christmas" look. Sister station WSB-FM-98.5 in Atlanta also (again, based on Ys.com's listings) went all-Christmas today as well.

Assuming WEZN isn't all-Christmas just for the day or weekend, will AC rival WEBE-107.9 follow suit?? So far, again based on Yes.com, they have their regular format (at this writing, 2:45 P.M.) with a few Christmas songs sprinkled-in.

I think WEBE will continue with their normal format with several christmas songs an hour, as for WEZN I think they will be all christmas music until the holiday.

Any stations in the Hartford area switch to all christmas music?

I don't think STAR has gone all Christmas, I think it's for the Thanksgiving weekend. It's an easy way to give the full timers time off and do voice track and let the system do the work.
If they did go all Christams full time WEBE would love that, heck they couldn't bring the night time numbers up so they hired STARs night time host to replace Delilah. If ya can't beat them, buy them.
WEBE likes to ad Christmas songs in a few at a time, they build week by week with rotation, heck you'll be sick of listening to commercial radio in 2 weeks with all the Christmas music, ya gotta get XM or Sirius.

Insider Information???

Star 99.9 WEZN did the same last year. They went Christmas around the same time I believe. So this isn't just for the weekend, Star will be Christmas until Midnight Christmas Day. I give Star 99.9 credit for not going Christmas earlier like some stations did. Thanksgiving or the day after is the right day to switch.
