Looks like WCKY could use a boost

Looking at the ratings for WCKY, it seems they'd be wise to hire some talent to get a much needed boost in the ratings. Let's face it, most of the stations who offer sports talk these days are enjoying ratings they don't deserve simply due to lack of options. Maybe Andy Furman would make a nice fit?

If Cheap Channel rehires Andy Furman he would be on 700 WLW not WCKY. plus the fact that they purged all but McCallister, Eggers from Homer Earlier this year. Why would they hire people for it now. CC is almost chapter 11 right now as it is in debt. Rumours are going around that CC is getting ready for a 3rd round of cuts in some markets. over on the Detroit board Somone mentioned he heard that more cuts were coming and how it would Effect WDFN in Detroit. Last i looked most CC Sports talkers have at most 3 to 4 employees thats it. save WKRD in Louisville which has more Local talk than WDFN in Detroit, WYTS in Columbus, WCKY in Cincinnati and WNDE in Indianapolis has.

Sounds like you know what your talking about.

I've always thought advertising dollars make or break radio stations.

Businesses want their money going to the stations with the most listeners, more listeners, more impact.

You get more listeners by hiring people, that people want to listen too.

In return creating more profit through more advertising revenue.

Am I naive?
