Looks like WWHK 102.3 will keep its current format....

Not to ask a dumb question, but since this station reverted back to Jeff Shapirio, why doesn't he put something on the air. After all, he has studios in Bow, there should be a closet or something he can throw an automation system in so as to put something on the air. Gonna be tough to build any kind of audience after having been dark for a year.

There would be no reason for the current owners of WWHK to make any kind of investment in a studio, programming, or staff, since the station is being sold in 'as is' condition to the new owners.. The new owners, once they close on the deal, will eventually do what they want to do with the place.. Find & build studio space, hire people. program the station, and sell commercials. A fresh start on 102.3 may not be such a bad thing for the new owners to work with..

The station actually reverted to Vox, which Jeff is a partner in but not the owner. Even running music off an iPod would cost electricity. There's no point in spending money needlessly.
