LOOP commercial

So THE LOOP gets a new LOOP girl and uses a former "dancer" from an old commercial. They are evoking the heritage of the station. Nothing new, AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH JOHNNY B.

I guess you can speculate all you want, it's no secret Johnny is coming back.

This is actually a NON-POST. Completely irrelevant.

I have it on first hand knowledge that Brandmeier will not set foot in the same building as Mancow if both will be in there at the same time. There is so much bad blood between them that if they even see each other, it might come to blows.

Not at all good for staff morale when their two top players are at each others throat both off and on the air. My guess at this point is Johhny B will sit out until the right deal comes along or Mancow goes to Infinity...regardless of whether he has a new contract with Emmis. As if either needs the money.

LOOP creative is just ramping up. The spot is merely something to get our attention as a familar old friend.

If they're still enemies, and more than likely they are, I doubt Bandmeier will return to the Loop, especially now that The Loop's studios are now in the Merchandise Mart with Q101. As for the station itself, I thought it was supposed to be a Classic Rock station, and I heard something released this year. If I remember correctly, they played Nickelback's Photograph. Nickelback isn't even Classic Rock by today's standards. I wonder what route Emmis is going with The Loop.

If this is the case. Brandmeier could broadcast his showgram
from Los Angeles. I'm pretty sure that he would rather stay in
Southern California than move back to Chi-Town. He hates the
weather there.

What are we, a bunch of teenagers?

What do you mean Brandmeier won't do a show at the LOOP because Mancow is in the same building?

What's the old line? Show me the money!

Stuff like "I won't work in the same building" works in a world where both are pompous a%$es and/or at some college/high school station. Here, only one falls into that category.

Besides what better way to show up your uno numero competitor but to beat him on his own turf! I hope Johnny is able to return to the LOOP.

No, The Loop isn't just a classic rock station. I don't think they really have been in sometime. You always heard bands like Puddle of Mudd or maybe 3 Doors Down. They promote themselves as playing the best in classic and new rock (note: not "nu-metal"). So I think you'll hear stuff from Silvertide, Nickelback, maybe even Velvet Revolver. The more melodic rock stuff.

And besides, this isn't the first time Joey-Bag-of-Donuts has been exhumed by the Loop. When Bonneville flipped the station back to classic rock in 1998, they dug out the old spots, replaced the 80s logo with the Abrams/Heftel logo they'd revived and had Joey dancing to "Start Me Up" instead of "Suicide Blonde."
