Whoa, hold on a minute. If there are two unrelated events that each have a 5% probability of occurring, and it turns out that the outlier outcome does indeed occur for the first one (Supreme Court ruling), that doesn't affect the probability that the outlier outcome will also occur for the second (Blitz resurgence). But it does serve as a prominent reminder that unlikely outcomes do happen sometimes.
