Apologies to the fans of George Lopez but I watched his late night talk show Tuesday night with guest Sandra Bullock and, IMHO, the program, sucked.

Lopez was much funnier when he had his situation comedy on ABC.

Lopez is not a talk show host and I'm betting that the program will be canceled within a year.

He was'nt funny with his sitcom.Thats why it was cancelled.Remember him crying about it.

You mean its worse than that.

Actually his sitcom lasted a few years on ABC. Maybe it lasted so long because he had a good supporting cast, who knows?

Meanwhile his talk show is so bad that I am betting it won't last a few months.
 
His sitcom was OK but the one that I thought was the best on it was the lady playing his mother. Always made me laugh.
 
I remember before his show made its debut, George Lopez was on another talk program saying that "Lopez Tonight" would be different because, and I quote, "the host isn't a pasty white guy."

Okay that's Lopez's humor and this "pasty white guy" doesn't mind that remark.

But it's my opinion that his show won't be successful for the following reasons.

1. His monologs are not funny
2. His guests, so far, are no body I want to listen too.
3. It's the same type of talk show format that's been around for decades.
4. He seems to be focusing on a certain audience (Latinos) where as Arsenio
Hall didn't try to win over just African-Americans, but everyone.
5. His show is on a cable network that hardly anyone watches.

Lopez is out of his element. He's a funny stand-up comedian. But just because someone is good at one thing, doesn't mean they are good at something else.

Lopez should work out a deal with TNT to return to where his talents lie; either live performances or a situation comedy.

It's not like George Lopez is going to read my advice on this board and say " what a great idea!

If he read this (which we all know he never would) his comment might be "who cares what that pasty puta has to say! ;D

Lopez is well known as being racists against white people. When his show was canceled, his first comment was that tv just got more white. To be fair his show was canceled to make room for that caveman show. That had to hurt.

If you seen any of his HBO / stand up acts half his jokes are about white people. The other half are about Latinos. I guarantee when Lopez tonight gets canceled, he will probably make some white people type complaint on why it was canceled so early.

Oh you can bet he will blame the 'white guys in the suits' for his talk show's cancellation.

As for his sitcom on ABC, his tirade against the network was about his co-workers losing their jobs, which I have to admire him for thinking about other people than himself.

Lopez had a tough life growing up and it appears he does hold a grudge (Example: Eric Estrada refusing to shake his hand when Lopez was a teenager).

I would love to know what kind of ratings "Lopez Tonight" is pulling down, and how long it will be before TNT pulls the plug; if they do.

If Lopez Tonight gets canceled on TBS there is nobody to blame but George Lopez himself.

Again sorry to offend his fans and viewers, but the truth is mediocre is mediocre.
And no amount of blaming "whitey" is going to make up for the fact that Lopez's talk show would never make it on one of the big three networks, let alone a cable channel best known for airing the same movies and Law and Order reruns on a regular basis.

Katey Sagal now co-stars on the FX show "The Sons of Anarchy" which is created by her husband Kurt Sutter.
 
It will probably end like Stephanie Miller's attempt at a late night talk show.
The last episode was just shameful. They had apparently told her that day it
would be her last show. She gave short-shrift to her guest, Fyvush Finkel, and
spent the time whining and bitterly lashing out at her bosses.
