Loren&Wally's Men From Maine IN Maine Roadshow

Had the chance to listen to Loren&Wally online early this morning, and then actually attend their Men From Maine Road Show at the world-renowned Three Dollar Dewey's on Portland's Commercial Street.

Packed house - and not just the folks they brough up on a bus. Nice to see familiar faces from Boston radio, and even the families of the gang (Hank Morse's dad and Sue Cope's hubby).

Maine comic Bob Marley came by and did a nice on-air set and then stayed around to do a set for the in-house crowd after 9. Three Dollar Dewey's put out a great breakfast spread for all in attendance - and kudos to Dewey's operator, Tom Fiorini - on hand to personally work the bar and attend to the details for WROR and their guests.

Lots of prizes for the folks who did the Loren&Wally Scavenger Hunt, and for those who simply made the trip north. Plus they still had the traffic and news and sports and bits with Tom and music.

I've heard plenty of their road shows in the past, but this was the first that I actually got to attend.

Live radio - although not necessarily "local" in Boston terms for this one day - but well done, none the less. Glad they came, and hope they come north again. ayuh.
