Loren...Whatyave got???? Who is this interesting UGA Character?

I will miss Larry Munson. I have always found that guy named Loren on the radio broadcasts very interesting! Why did Larry always seem mad at him? loren is always very happy and kind and is a great interviewer! I read something years ago that said Loren had been doing those UGA football games since the late 1940`s! How old is he? he still sounds good! Why doesn`t he get more airtime? Will he get more airtime now that Larry is gone???? Is Loren beloved like larry?

I heard that now that Larry's gone, Loren is going to start working with Spiff on October 1.

Um, actually, yes we are.
I'm not originally from Georgia and I don't follow college football much, so there are LOTS of folks who have never heard of this guy.

And for those of us who don't follow college football it just ain't that big of a deal.
 
My dear folks, I do know who Loren Smith is! That is, I have heard him on these broadcasts for many years..... However, I didn`t know his background! Is that a crime? Geez..... drink some caffine and lighten up. Some folks here need to read posts for what they are saying, stating or asking and not read things into them that are not there! Yes, I have heard him on the football games for many years. But, you must admit that there is never too much background info. on there about him. He has always been an interesting contrast to Larry Munsun`s gruff and rough persona. Here is a typical sample of Larry and Loren together: Larry: Loren,... whatyave got???? Loren: It iss a beau-ti-full da here in dog kouty. I jus spoke to a couple who is a- waiting for some good ole fashioned smash mouth fooball ta-day...... Classic Loren. He is a treasure. Does he and Larry get along? Does anyone have Loren Smith stories on here?
