In 1976, Jeff Levy bought his first computer, a TRS-80 from Radio Shack. He earned a degree at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles but decided he liked tinkering with computers more than he liked practicing law. In 1995, he began hosting Jeff Levy On Computers on KFI. The program was initially heard at 5 a.m. on Sunday mornings but soon got a better time slot and expanded to include Saturdays. In January 2004, Levy moved to KNX as host of Computer News. He later was heard on KRLA, KABC and KFWB and most recently co-hosted Turn On To Tech with Bonnie Jane Bentley, a hypnotherapist and former actress/model. The program was streamed live on Friday afternoons at LATalkRadio.com.

Jeff Levy was known as "The Digital Doctor." He wrote about technology for various newspapers, gave tech reports on local television stations and taught computer classes at several colleges. Levy died on July 15, 2015.
